FBC staff has chosen to put a fresh, new spin on the way information is delivered to the church family. For this reason, The Compass, a monthly newsletter, will be replacing the weekly bulletin starting January 2009 and will be made available on the last Sunday prior to the new month. Publishing a monthly newsletter eliminates the repetitiveness that has been a problem with the weekly bulletins where only one or two things may change from week to week, and only a handful of the items may affect the congregation as a whole. The Compass will allow us to offer a more in-depth perspective on items of importance and highlight events of particular church wide interest, while still keeping everyone informed as to what is happening here at FBC.

There are two components to The Compass: the newsletter itself and the calendar insert. Events to be listed on the calendar page must be submitted to the office in writing or by email no later than the 15th of the month prior to the event. For example, events taking place in February must be submitted by January 15th in order to be included.
