It’s been three years since I visited Cambodia for the first time as FAIR Director with the then-new Fellowship International Director Dave Marttunen. While there, we were able to witness some of what Fellowship International missionaries Oeut and Nhep Pech do and the impact of their ministry in rural Cambodia.
FAIR’s mobile dental clinic is truly a ministry of skilled children of God using their unique abilities, circumstances and backgrounds to serve where God has called them to fill a need. Nhep is a dentist by trade and is teaching at a university in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. Her students help her to run the mobile dental clinic – some believers, some not. Oeut is a gifted evangelist, sharing the Gospel as patients recover from dentistry. The result is a Kingdom building movement that has been a joy to witness. Since 2007, three churches have been planted and over 400 decisions for Christ have been made. There is much to be done and Pechs have big goals for the future.
But the mobile dental clinic needs help. Dental supplies like the tools and medications that Nhep and her students use are expensive and there is no financial support from the Cambodian government.
That’s why I’m so excited to present to you FAIR’s special appeal Brightening Smiles(Cambodia). With a goal of $80,000, FAIR is seeking to raise enough money to keep the mobile dental clinic supplied and running for many years to come.
I would encourage you to read the attached appeal, visit the website, watch the video below and consider how God is directing you to participate in the Brightening Smilesappeal. Would you make the mobile dental clinic the focus of your Easter or tax refund offering this year?
We appreciate your prayerful consideration of this unique ministry.
In His name,
