Dear Church Family,
Today was a beautiful day in Honduras! We had breakfast at the camp (Cerro de Luz), and headed over to the children’s home for the first time. What an awesome time. The kids were very friendly and were almost immediately all over us. They clearly crave attention, and we were very excited to love on them. The challenge will be choosing to work over playing with them....not sure how much we will get done.
The biggest thing Melody would like is to paint the entire house! We got started taping the trim, and washing mildew in the bathrooms. It turns out that Doug is a wizard at washing bathrooms, as he bailed us all out of some big messes
Nick Beck and I assessed the generator to see why it doesn’t work, and we know what parts we need now.
In the afternoon we played soccer with the boys, who are all far more talented than us, and I think they enjoyed dribbling circles around us.
Truthfully we are having a great time! God have blessed us to be here, and we are so thankful for your prayers.
Several teams members are battling a cold ( Jay, Keagan, Sandra, Madison), so please pray for them.
Also the painting seems to be more then we can probably get done, so pray about that. It’s time for supper so I’ll send pictures later,
