Hello All! (Email Received Sunday Morning - March 29th)
It's Doug with a day 3 update.
Please excuse my poor grammer and spelling. Tracey's not here to proof read.
The struggle is real! Work or play?
We enjoyed another good day at the children's home. We tried to stay a little more work focused and got a start on the painting. Everyone missed playing with the kids.
Curtis and Melodie started their morning running to town to get supplies. The rest of us started on the painting. Shawn mixed the paint up, Sandra, Jay, Keegan, & Nick did the edge work and Shawn, Vickie and Madison where busy with the rollers.
I tried to take care of some crack filling with Alex (one of the smaller boys) who was on my back and eager to help. Literally.
Jay was able to make an instrument today and it was a hit with the kids. He hopes to make more soon.
Nick was also able to look at the generator and install a new solenoid. He also did some maintenace and is waiting on some oil and we praying it will fire up.
While cleaning and painting we also discoverd most of the sinks where leaking and a toilet tank need attention. Curtis was able to get what we need and when we left today the leaks were gone.
We capped off the day at Los Ferro, a near by restaurant. We had a beautiful meal with beautiful people.
Thank you! For your prayers.
Please continue to pray for those that are sick with cold like symptoms. Pray that everyone gets a good night sleep and recharges for what's next, but more importantly pray for the workers at the home. Pray for the children let them feel appreciated and loved.
