A Word From Steve Jones
April 16TH, 2018
Dear pastors, missionaries, chaplains and friends, Steve here… the humanitarian needs in our world are staggering. So much hardship. I’m grateful our Fellowship family desires to alleviate this suffering in many acts of “good deeds”. This month our FAIR department has launched an appeal for our Fellowship churches and members to support an amazing opportunity in the nation of Colombia. This could become a special Thanksgiving or Christmas FAIR offering in your church. From Dan Shurr, FAIR Director: FAIR, through the ministry of Fellowship International, is playing a strategic role in the launch of a ministry to 20,000 individuals known as the “invisible people” in Medellin, Colombia. Each day their lives are filled with loneliness, abuse, shame, and in many cases they are cut off from the love and support of their families. The reason? They are deaf. Living in a world without sound and making it very difficult for them to find and retain employment, thereby providing for themselves and their families. ![]() The El Redil church in Medellin seeks to care for this needy group and bring the gospel to them. There are currently 40 deaf people meeting together regularly. This is cause for great praise! However, there is still much to do within this community, and many challenges preventing this ministry from growing and reaching others within the community. FAIR partnering with the El Redil church as deaf brothers and sisters in Christ are empowered to reach their community with the Gospel! Our goal is to raise $60,000 which will go towards: pastoral training, pastoral support, a place to gather as a church, and self-sustaining production and management projects. God bless you, Have a blessed week, Steve Jones
