A Word From Steve Jones

A few verses to encourage you from Isaiah 55:1-3 (NLT):“Is anyone thirsty? Come and drink – even if you have no money! Come, take your choice of wine or milk – it is all free! 2 Why spend your money on food that does not give you strength (satisfaction)? Why pay for food that does you no good? Listen, and I will tell you where to get food that is good for the soul! 3 Come to me with your ears wide open. Listen, for the life of your soul is at stake…”
Read those verses over three times and ask yourself what the Lord is encouraging you to pursue. Read them another three times and the Spirit of God will surely speak to you today. So much in life drains us. We’re parched spiritually, mentally, physically and emotionally. What things are robbing you from your reservoir these days…those things that give us no “strength” (vs. 2). Big promises are made, but the outcome falls flat. No satisfaction. The solution is verse 3, “Listen and keep our ears open”. I’m enjoying connecting with you at our six spring Regional Conferences. This week our Fellowship Pacific Region is hosting their conference in beautiful HOPE, BC. What a great name for a city. What a great place to host a conference. To those who are thirsty and lacking hope…hope to see you in HOPE! As many of you know, our Fellowship’s 2012 theme verse is Romans 15:13 which speaks of hope: Our Fellowship Theme Verse for 2012: “So I pray that God, who gives you hope, will keep you happy and full of peace as you believe in him. May you overflow with hope through the power of the Holy Spirit.” Romans 15:13 (NLT) Let me also take this opportunity to invite you to F48, our National conference (Nov. 5 – 7), in beautiful Niagara Falls, ON. I’m calling this National Convention the “Couples Convention”. Please come with your spouse and be refreshed as we all “listen” with our “ears wide open”.Additional information is available at: www.fellowship.ca Prayer Request Continue to pray for Andrew and Suzanne Rozalowsky as they await word on a suitable stem cell donor. Pray with us that the acute leukemia that Andrew was diagnosed with in late December will remain in remission until a suitable donor is found.

Excitement is mounting on our project for Honduras. We are waiting for an estimate of the cost of repair to the tile roof at the orphanage. This is a great need for the children to be safe, dry and healthy. Pray for these upcoming plans for the trip to Honduras for protection and open doors. Please inquire how you may help personally in the upcoming weeks ahead.
Mark and Debbie Taylor will be joining during our Sunday Morning service May 13th. From sharing how the camp has gone to what they see happening this summer and how we can get involved. Below you will find a brochure on Mount Traber Bible Camp. ![]()
