"We are safe and sound in Honduras and now rested all totes are intact and ready to be delivered this morning to the home.
We arrived a bit ahead of schedule yesterday and had a chance to wonder around the camp and unwind from the travelling.
We had our first devotions in the Washington Airport about 3:30am and it was evident to all onlookers as to what we were doing. As people were lining up for the ticket counter we were praying. They saved the front of the line for us. The lady at the counter figured out pretty quickly what we were all about and waited on us diligently like a mother hen to get us through the process and on our way. God bless America!
I thought about how much harder this would have been if this had been a country where it was illegal to be a Christian. We don't think about how luck we are at times.
The flights were smooth and a little scary coming in to Tegucigalpa airport. The airport itself was a bit of a gong show San Pedro Sula is preferred if possible by about a hundred times. Our drivers also prefer the San Pedro airport plus I think I can spell it properly.
Luis and Ishmael picked us up and had a safe but wow kinda drive on the winding path through the mountains. Luis speaks excellent English he just graduated from civil engineering and is looking for work. We have hired him as our translator our"guy" on the ground here we think God put him in our path.
We had a lovely supper and then did our devotions on stewardship Wanda did an excellent job putting it together and it was great for the team. We were a hurting bunch though no sleep for 2 days we were all asleep by 8 o clock. Thank you God for a clean bed and a dry roof.
We learned Sherry is not to fond of big bugs and Denis is a bug killer.
We are off to the Home after breakfast - can't wait."
Thank you again for your faithfulness in praying for our team and the children and staff at the Home!
