Update and Prayer Request
Just before Christmas we were in touch with you asking for prayer for Andrew Rozalowsky, husband of our Administrative Assistant, Suzanne. Since our last email, things have deteriorated to the point where Andrew is in the hospital’s intensive care unit under sedation and on a ventilator receiving treatment for an unknown infection. Late yesterday, the parish nurse from Guelph’s Calvary Baptist Church (their home church) wrote on the church’s Facebook page:
“Andrew has developed a very serious but treatable infection that has compromised his lungs. Andrew has been placed on some very aggressive antibiotics, however, much of the work to fight the infection must still be done by his own immune system. Given that Andrew's immune system is wiped out, this has resulted in him being connected to a ventilator to conserve energy and put as much available power towards fighting the infection. It then becomes a race between the infection and Andrew’s slowly recovering immune system. Please pray that as Andrew and Suzanne wait quietly for the incredible rescue operation that only God can perform, that they will not be afraid or discouraged. I am reminded of the words in Psalm 112:6-8 that I believe describe Andrew’s unfailing faithfulness:
“For the righteous will never be moved; he will be remembered forever. He is not afraid of bad news; his heart is firm, trusting in the Lord. His heart is steady; he will not be afraid, until he looks in triumph of his adversaries.”
Please join us in continuing to pray for a miracle; that God’s perfect plan will play out in the next few hours and days ahead. Pray that as Suzanne waits patiently at Andrew’s bedside (or close by), and reads the Word of God, and encouraging notes to him, that the medical team will be touched by the words spoken and that they will see a love that cannot be shaken.”
We invite and encourage you to join us in praying for God’s miraculous healing in the life of Andrew and that He alone will receive the glory and praise!
Thank you for your partnership through prayer!
