And we are off! Day one is here, and our team is ready to see how God is going to work on our trip and how we can be used by Him. 
 
We gathered as a team at 11:30 am at Halifax International Airport with all our luggage and totes in tow. Curtis covered us in prayer, wished us the best and we were off! 
 
With the experience from last year still fresh in our minds, God seen fit to have a little fun with us. As we were waiting to check into our flight the fire alarm went off at the airport, but we didn’t need to do anything. We hope this is not par for the course. 
 
With the false alarm behind us we checked into our flights, and we were through security without a hitch. First stop, Newark, New Jersey. After an hour and 45-minute flight we were on the ground and waiting for our connecting flight to Houston, Texas. However, we were met with snow and ice in Texas! It seems like we can’t get away from this stuff! 
 
It is now 12 am in Houston, which is 2 am back home, we have landed safely, and after 3 Lyfts car shuttles later (because the bus shuttles are not functioning because of the cold weather here), we are now all at the hotel and ready for bed. What’s a missions trip without a few unexpected twists and turns along the way. Next stop Honduras!
