Day 3 (Jan 22)

​Heyo church family, Today was full of action!

Some of us woke up at stupid o’clock and explored the property, and others chose to catch every Z they could before breakfast (which was phenomenal btw!!!). Soon after we had a worship session and a quick meeting with Rick and Ena, before we left for Casa Hogar. When we got on site, they gave us a tour of the property and talked about a few cool projects that they wanted to accomplish. Then a couple of us got roped into a game of futbol! The game was pretty even by the time I had to step off the field to catch my breath 😂 

Later on, I broke out the guitar and we sang some songs with the kids. Then Buck and Curtis gave them a little improvised devotional to think about. 

Once that was finished, the girls and guys split up for some activities. The ladies hung out, played games and tossed a ball around for a few hours. While the guys began pulling up bricks that were laid in the foundation of the greenhouse. The home is building a new greenhouse on a better location, and wanted to reuse the materials, so we banded together and began hauling! It was a real workout, and the massive population of ants was a great motivational factor to our speed! Once we had put a pretty decent dent in the removal and relocation of the material we were called into another futbol match, which was an embarrassing and swift defeat! 

We ended the night with a bonfire and marshmallows, came back to the hotel and dug into dinner, cruised through a great devotional time and simmered down with some good worship music.
