A Word From Steve Jones
March 30th, 2020
Dear pastors, missionaries, chaplains and friends,
Steve here… I am the product of a friend’s best efforts in sharing the Gospel while studying art at the Ontario College of Art (now OCAD). I will be forever grateful to Ian, who now pastors in the United States. I pastored four Fellowship churches as a youth pastor and lead pastor. I believe I would be correct in saying that evangelism was an emphasis in all my ministries. My prayer is that our Fellowship of churches would remain passionate about evangelism.
It is for this reason that I want to encourage our churches in Toronto and the GTA region to get involved in the upcoming “Festival of Hope”with Franklin Graham, from September 12-14.
I recognize this email goes to friends all over Canada and around the world; please forgive me this one time for addressing many of our friends living in the Toronto area.
Over 300 churches are currently involved in the “Festival of Hope” that will take place at the Air Canada Centre over the course of three evangelistic evenings (September 12-14). The impact could be phenomenal. Evangelism training is being offered, and there are materials available to help get your church involved—and God will be glorified.
Go to www.festivalofhope.ca for more information on student and adult evangelism training, as well as resources to help you along the way.
I know some of you may not affirm mass-evangelism or even the Billy Graham organization. Evangelism tools come in all shapes and sizes. I’m hoping many of you will join the “Festival of Hope” opportunity and witness hundreds coming to Christ, churches working together, and believers becoming more passionate about their witness. May Jesus reign in Toronto and the rest of our Nation!
Have a blessed week,
